SCDE AUDITIONS FOR 2024-2025 SEASON
SCDE Audition Details:
- Bring a Headshot, Bio, and Dancer shot.
- Arrive early to be ready to go at 5:00 pm-12 hour audition includes: Warm-up, Phrase work, Improvisation
- Be prepared to stay after for an interview with the SCDE Artistic Directors and SCD Artistic Director
- SCDE season runs from August 2024 to May 2025-Rehearsals for SCDE will be held Tuesdays and Thursdays, 5:00-8:00
- Residencies with Guest Artists, Main Stage and In-Studio Performances, Community Performances
Sarasota Contemporary Dance Ensemble (SCDE) is a training company for aspiring dancers under the direction of Xiao-Xuan Dancigers and Melissa Rummel, with the strong guidance and support of Sarasota Contemporary Dance Artistic Director, Leymis Bolanos Wilmott.
The mission of SCDE is to offer students high-caliber contemporary dance training, opportunities to perform alongside professional dancers, and preparation for a future professional career in dance.
SCDE has the opportunity to perform throughout the year at community events, In Studio Performances, and collaborations with SCD. SCDE strives to provide a safe environment, where dancers feel comfortable to express themselves and discover their own artistic voice.
SCDE 2023 - 2024:
SCDE Details:
- SCDE rehearsals Tuesdays and Thursdays from 5:30-8:30 pm
- $160/month to train as an SCDE dancer
