Edward Cosla (Sound Engineer) has worked internationally for six weeks a year as an Audio Engineer for the Vienna International Festival of the Arts in Austria, Europe. In New York City, he has Audio Engineered at high-profile corporate events for customers such as Merrill Lynch and Vanguard Funds. Also in NYC, Edward has mixed live sound for various Swing bands at Swing dances, and for wedding bands at events. In Sarasota, Edward has worked for IATSE Local 412 in the Audio Departments of venues such as The Van Wezel, The FSU Center for Performing Arts, and for the Ringling International Arts Festival (RIAF). He is enthusiastic to be working again with the company formally known as “Fuzion,” the dancers, artists, designers, and supporters of Sarasota Contemporary Dance.
Celeste N. Silsby Mannerud (Lighting Designer/Videographer) is co-founder of Flip Flop Productions and specializes in design and archival for theatrical and private events. She received her BA in Theatre Design from USF and her MFA in Design Management from IADT, and her repertoire includes: technical/artistic design in Germany for ArtLab Studios; lighting design for local and international dance and theatre companies; museum lighting installations for the Dali Museum and Tampa Museum of Art; production management for L’Unione Italiana Ybor City’s annual Festa Italiana; and stage lighting instruction at various Florida colleges. Aside from her “real job,” Celeste is halfway through a never-ending home renovation and is most at peace when under sail with her husband, Andreas, and son, Cobyn.
Michael A. Sperber (Stage Manager/Lighting Designer) is a production manager, stage manager, and lighting designer who has worked with opera, dance, and theatre companies across the country. He has worked with Sarasota Contemporary Dance since 2013 as Lighting Designer for In the Round and as Stage Manager for main stage performances. Michael is currently Production Stage Manager for Lyric Opera Baltimore, a position he has held for four seasons and was previously Assistant Production Manager for Arizona Opera. He has also worked for the American Dance Festival, the Cape Playhouse, UrbanArias, Juilliard Vocal Arts, and the opera companies of Atlanta, Charlotte, Grand Rapids, Louisville, Tampa, and Toledo in various capacities.
