Natalie Robison is a native of East Lansing, MI but received her undergrad Vaganova training from Andrei Bossov and Natalya Getman of Bossov Ballet Theatre in ME, as well as studying as a post grad with Gelsey Kirkland in NYC. Her professional career began with Columbia Classical Ballet of Columbia, SC. After two seasons with the company she primarily resided on the east coast in the NYC and CT area free lancing and studying with a variety of teachers and styles to enrich both her dancing and teaching. Her residency in NYC and travels abroad inspired her to explore contemporary dance, and is now thrilled to be in her second season with Sarasota Contemporary Dance! She has enjoyed teaching around the Sarasota community as well as being a guest teacher of Brandon Ballet. Both her students and colleagues continue to inspire her. This season she looks forward to the challenges brought by each and every choreographer. She also continues to indulge in the opportunity to choreograph herself and use her inspirations to expand her vocabulary, explore story telling, and find her own voice in the craft.
